Timothy L. “Tim” Stokes, 53, of Alexis, IL passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at his home.Tim was born on February 14, 1972, in Monmouth, IL the son of Gerald “Jake” Dean and Patty Anita (Chenault) Stokes. He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1991.Tim served with the United States Marine Corps.He married Debrah Sue Reynolds on December 7, 2007, in Monmouth and she survives.Tim was a truck driver for Twomey Company for several years. Most recently Tim worked as a Highway Maintainer for IDOT.If you knew Tim, he had a passion for music. He was a self-taught drummer and guitar player playing for various local bands. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching the San Francisco 49ers and the St. Louis Cardinals and playing music. He also enjoyed going to concerts and meeting many different artists, especially George Jones.
