Stephen E. Price, 71 of Aledo, died Wednesday June 26, 2024, at his home. Funeral services will be Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Edgington Cemetery. There is no visitation, but a celebration of life will be held later in July. Memorials may be made to the Mercer County VFW.Stephen Eugene was born on August 8, 1952, in Aledo, Illinois to Paul E. & Mary E. (Hofer) Price. He graduated from Aledo High School in 1970 and worked on the family farm before joining Dellitt Ag & Crop Production Services. Steve retired as a concrete finisher from Union #18 after working for 3-D Concrete. Steve enjoyed the outdoors and shared his love of hunting and fishing with his grandsons. He would pass on the trophy, so they could claim one. Steve also spent many nights watching his grandchildren’s ball games.
